The American empire is over. This century belongs to China. And no, I’m not a tankie, just realistic as to how history is playing out.

I’m genuinely scared (Australia), because I don’t see any chance of China being overthrown from within at this point. They’ve got a lockdown on information beyond anything else historically.

While that’s true, I’m still a bit astounded that absolutely zero Middle Eastern countries seem to care about the CCP’s suppression and quiet cultural genocide of the Uighur population

Compare the actual genocide that’s unfolding in Gaza to Xinjiang. See the difference? That’s why.

Additionally, the level of repression in Xinjiang is baseline reality for anybody living in any of the American-backed monarchies and dictatorships of the MENA region, so it’s not even considered unusual to them.

America is currently in raging dumpster fire. Why would anyone willingly work with the US?

they won’t as long as El-Sisi is in power - him and the Muslim Brotherhood (who are sympathetic/likely allied towards Hamas) have an obvious and long standing beef, given the 2013 coup against Morsi’s gov that put El-Sisi into power.

Considering the pivot to China, there’s likely someone at the US State Department right now with their finger hovering over the “coup” button for El-Sisi…

the thing is the “devil they know” is still likely more reliable towards so called “US interests,” even with them moving towards more ties with China, than what they could end up with via the fallout after another US supported coup (which would likely trigger mass protests and conflicts for power)

Will China refuse to talk to Egypt because of genocide or are the totally cool with genocide?

      Hint: totally cool with genocide.

Yes they are totally cool with genocide as China is being one of the biggest trade partner to Israel. Worse than selling arms to Israel is having good economic ties that offset the effect of genocide on Israel economy. I’m no pro China. Egypt is cool with the genocide too and even act as a guard for Israel
