I wouldn’t trust any third party sales so soon. They’ve been a bit back ordered since release. Took me about a month to get mine. It’s a gaming centric phone but I don’t even do a bunch of phone gaming. It ticked a lot of my wants in a phone. Huge battery, fast charging, headphone jack, a 1 TB drive, low cost than other flagship phones, and an IR blaster. What I don’t like is they lock their bootloader and don’t promise more than 2 android version updates.
Lol. At this point I’d bet they’re scraping info from all the non Chinese phones. Besides, I’m more worried about my own government spying on me and violating my rights than China’s government.
For watching videos, surfing the web, and doing most phone things it doesn’t get warm at all, and that’s with the fan (and 90% just there because it looks badass liquid cooling) turned off. The phone has a processor that can put out some heat, but regular phone stuff just uses such a small amount of it’s maximum that it doesn’t get the least bit warm.
It will get warm when speed charging (the fan and liquid cooler will automatically kick in when doing the speed charging) but not anything I’d feel like calling hot.
It will also get warm when playing more in demand games. Like I’ve been playing red Dead redemption on it with the highest settings. I have the options selected to turn on the fan and liquid cooling when in game mode, but it doesn’t go beyond warm or make my hands sweat.
I haven’t tried any games more taxing than rdr. I’ll have to install genshin impact or something to see.
I haven’t really enjoyed pokemon for quite some time now. It started off as a fun casual rps style game with a simple and entertaining story to follow. Then they kept adding more complexity to it and it just kinda fell off for me.
I quit Nintendo ages ago. As a company, they’re assholes. Then they want to charge $50 for a game that’s 5 years old and 2 generations behind in graphics. Just can’t hold a candle to PC or even the other consoles. The only thing they have left is like 4 game IP’s

I’ll keep my unkillable Gen 2 Prius. 281,000 miles on the odometer, original engine, replaced the hybrid battery a few years back with a brand new one from Toyota (that I installed myself after convincing a dealership to just sell one to me) and knock on wood, but that’s the last maintenance item I’ve even had to spend any money on.
Too bad quality dropped off after the Gen 2 years.

That’s a convoluted answer for me. I hand sharpen knives and straight razors as a hobby. Been doing it for like 30 years and have several hundreds of dollars in diamond and wetstones. I doubt there’s 500 people in the country (US) that are better than I am at hand sharpening.
The convoluted part is that I could charge people to sharpen knives. I just don’t want to.

It’s looking like pixel may be planning on locking down root access as well, soon. Really, pixel has never done anything very great. No SD card, ok, screen, ok apu, pretty good cameras, meh battery, and meh storage and ram. Never anything special. Sony phones had potential but they’re always priced high and their software support sucks. I wish LG had kept making phones

Yes. But I figured that even if it was unlocked, there would be low odds of a good custom rom going on it that could still run the fan and liquid cooler and lights on the thing. Still definitely sucks.
