Israeli officials suggested that the increased military aid was part of a deal to get Netanyahu to agree to the Gaza ceasefire deal. Trump’s envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, has said he’s pushing for the full implementation of the agreement, but the ceasefire is very fragile as Netanyahu doesn’t want to implement the second phase.

I’m certainly not happy with what Biden did, but it was far from unpredictable. He just carried on the policy of intense support both parties have followed since Israel was founded. Let’s be honest though. If Biden and Harris enforced the Leahy Act, all you would have heard from the right is that Democrats are antisemites who protect Hamas terrorists.

We don’t give a flying fuck what “the right” would say; we give a fuck about stopping genocide.

No, previous administrations were willing to reign Israel in - even Trump has proven willing to - Biden was uniqigue in his complete, no limits, full support of Israel’s most horrific crimes since it’s creation.

If Biden and Harris enforced the Leahy Act, all you would have heard from the right is that Democrats are antisemites who protect Hamas terrorists.

“We had to violate the law, otherwise the right would call us names!” (spoilers, they called you those names anyway.)
