To start, raise the income tax rates for corporations and high earners in the USA back to the levels before Reagan.

Eliminate the veto powers afforded certain countries in the UN.

Remove the bs cultural stigma against socialism in some countries.

Enforce international law and prosecute crimes against humanity.

Aw, geez…

Yeah, it’s that propaganda and the world view it propagates leads to all these military interventions that have gone so well for everyone. It’s also telling that interventions only occur when it’s in the interest of the intervening nation, and any perceived positives for the recipients are dubious, at best. Times when the international community needs to do something, like in cases of genocide, don’t seem to be important enough to warrant much of a response except for hand-wringing and virtue signaling in the aftermath.

This is going to lead to nuclear proliferation, I believe. Few, if any, countries can match the US military machine, so the only way to deter it Is to invest in a weapon that even the United States cannot defend against.

There might be other ways that nations might collectively deter an aggressive United States, but this is the only way I can see many isolated nations being able to defend themselves.

I think we can already see many so-called rogue nations following this path and trying to acquire atomic weapons. This will just make it worse.

I could be wrong. I hope I’m wrong. I don’t think I am, though.

Three O’Clock High is the quintessential 80s movie. Seriously, it’s like someone said, hey, let’s make an 80s movie. It’s also got surprisingly good cinematography.

Exercise to get healthy and work on my garden, to start. Then I’d handle any necessary projects for my home. Then I’d find causes to support by volunteering.

I wondered if they made the jump over here. Guess not, sadly. Reading that sub has made me a better man, because it offers some pretty harsh critiques of male behavior.

Why is this not a conflict of interest?

Sorry to be the “um, actually” guy, but life on any planet other than Earth has not been confirmed. There have been some signs that there MAY be life elsewhere, but nothing conclusive.

As a layperson, there seems to be a general consensus that, given the vast nature of the universe, life on other planets may be likely. We just can’t say “for a fact that other planets exist with life”.

I’ll be happy to be proven wrong if you’ve got a source.
