Statistically speaking, he’s not far off. US, Canada and Mexico have about 9k stores. The entire rest of the world have about 2k stores. So it’s not unreasonable that most people have never seen a Walmart in their life.

This is what I think as well. Most work done locally, some heavy stuff offloaded to the cloud. Hopefully soon, since the environmental aspect of it is crazy.

I spend a lot more money on donations to the open source stuff I’m running, but they are not strictly speaking “subscriptions”. Self hosting for me isn’t about cost, it’s about data ownership.
