Did anyone honestly expect anything good to come from the TikTok deal?

I think it is just plain greed. The AI bubble has made NVIDIA mountains of money but they still want more. So they focus production on higher tier consumer GPU’S and their Pro series and give a middle finger to budget conscience consumers.

Gonna need a new default browser now.

For something without many vocals and just atmosphere try Heilung. All of their music feels like you are in a ritual or summoning.

Couldn’t possibly be the whole genocide of Palestine people by Israel that caused the attack. Just couldn’t be.

Most people at least put their OS on M2. I guess if you haven’t upgraded since M2 became common on motherboards you might not.
Edit: I internet says M2 was common around 2016 2017 motherboards.

So fuck all was “sold out in minutes”. In a country of 51mil+ that is nothing.

I wonder how many there were available? A few thousand? Tens of thousands? Hundreds of thousands? One million?
This headline is pointless without knowing a number of units. It is just free marketing for Samsung.

A corner hutch from my great-grandmother.
A first edition “From here to Eternity” that I found in the corner hutch while visiting my great-grandmother.
A set of hand drawn and colored fashion drawings the previous owner of my great-grandmother’s house did that I found in her attic when I was playing up there as a kid.
Grandfather’s handmade metal spoon and chop sticks that he made in Korea during the war.
Louisville Stoneware Marine Corps decanter and cup set the my grandfather gave my parents when they got married.
My first Leatherman.
A small yellow teddy bear wearing a bib that says “My First Bear” that my aunt gave me when I was born.
And the list goes on. A majority of what decorates my abode that isn’t LEGO’s is sentimental stuff.
Kinda jealous I can’t get one in the US.

Since “AI” doesn’t actually exist yet and what we do have is sucking up all the power and water while accelerating climate change. Add in studies showing regular usage of LLM’s is reducing peoples critical thinking I don’t see much “fear mongering”. I see actual reasonable issues being raised.
Does this mean I will have to scroll even more if I want to go to a specific channel I am subscribed to? All i want on the left is History and the list of channels I am subscribed to.

On my work computer? None.
On my Surface? YouTube, solitaire, random incremental games, Spotify.

At this point radical measures are necessary to right the wrongs committed by the rich. Taxes are a good start but not enough.

Well, that certainly wasn’t on anyones bingo card for this year.

But at what point can we agree that it didn’t?
When it isn’t killing the planet. When it isn’t straining the power grid making power for homes unreliable. When isn’t costing people jobs. When it doesn’t hallucinate. When it isn’t making people dumber.
I have never had this problem but if people are getting tricked/forced into higher tier plans then they need to be investigated.
Once or twice a month I will get a popup when I open Spotify to upgrade to duo plan but I just tap the “X” and move on.
Remember the “white genocide in South Africa” nonsense? That kind of rewriting of history.
Ads bad. If I want to support a creator I will do so personally not via watching ads. I’ll stop watching YT before I suffer through a single ad.
…strongly worded letters of course. Schumer might even look over the top his glasses while making a serious face at a press conference talking about the letter. Those naughty DOJ people will certainly learn their lesson that way!
