But what about the theory of the large throwing stone that states those tasty radiated cockroaches are my dinner and not yours?

um, isn’t it easier to just:
sudo apt install yt-dlp
yt-dlp -U
A classic! I do also love Simon Swerwer’s work on the official steam DF OST
The only problem with this line of thinking is that it empowers bigots to continue to subvert any character or symbol they choose.
I’d rather see those symbols used more often in ways that fight bigotry than to give in to that manipulation.
I was too young when I first saw this too. (I was in my 20s)
If you have trouble going to sleep then try falling asleep instead.
Even if you did find some way to fund and produce it, what corporate media empire is going to allow it on their network where more than a handful of people would ever see it?
You might only have ice-cold water during the spring if you’re near a river that just flowed down from the mountains but even most well water is going to be much cooler than surface temperatures.
Ocenaudio for audio editing. It’s not FOSS but it’s native, simple to use, and doesn’t have backend library issues I kept having with audacity.
Scrooge McDuck (Duck Tales version). Dude knows how to manage people and balance a budget. Sure he might occasionally get obsessed with some treasure in the middle east but that’s no different than most presidents.
I don’t think Lemmy is too confusing to use but I do think it’s poorly explained. Most people new to a server are only looking at two things:
But when they begin see the content can be vastly different from server to server and the topics they care about can be split into many communities on different servers they aren’t sure how to access what they want and lose interest.
Yeah it’s not a bad film at all really, but even just within the horror/scifi genre it can’t compete with higher budget films for popularity.
Granted it’s just the viewpoint of one of the prisoners but it’s the one I found most intriguing. To quote the movie: “Nobody knew what it was, nobody cared…there is no conspiracy, nobody is in charge. It’s a headless blunder operating under the illusion of a master plan…somebody might have known sometime before they got fired, voted out, or sold it…this is an accident, a forgotten perpetual public works project. You think anybody asked questions? All they want is a clear conscience and a fat paycheck.”
The Cube.
Most people saw it as an average horror movie where a bunch of people try to get out of a giant torture box. But there was a pivotal scene that stuck with me where one of the prisoners realizes he helped build part of it. The whole thing wasn’t some intentional torture device but just a bunch of people doing their day jobs that were lost in a bureaucracy not ever questioning what their work was creating.
A stark reflection of society and the systems we create and the dangers of not ever looking at the bigger picture.
Of course they proceeded to shit all over this idea in Cube2 where it ended up being just another evil government experiment.
I’m not a musician but I recently stumbled across https://linuxmusicians.com/ which seems like a decent forum for people that are determined to make it work.
Have you tried Deadlock? Coming from Dota2 I found it pretty easy to get into even though it is FPS.
Convenience.
Sadly it is something far fewer people are willing to give up than any of the above.
They (probably) aren’t trying to be rude, they are just happy to have an answer they can give quickly and appear helpful. They are oblivious to existing conversations or the communication processing talents of others.
Pathetic but cute. Aw, isn’t that baby 3 legged frog just shlarmle.
When a drug company in the 80s scaled up production they accidentally created seed crystals that spread around the entire Earth’s atmosphere that prevented other companies from manufacturing a generic drug without it attaching to the seeds and converting to the patented drug.
