1·10 days agoWell, we do make sure to drape with sheets so we never see your bathing suit area. We aren’t in the room when you get undressed and under the sheet. And lots of people leave their underwear on. Somehow the dirty butt ones almost never do though 🤷♀️
Bird photography. I’m a person who tends toward depression. It was honestly very surprising the first time I noticed that when I’m photographing birds I have a huge smile on my face the whole time.
I’ve been learning the ins and outs of my camera gear for the last year and making small improvements is really satisfying. But really it’s just being out in nature, looking at adorable birds and capturing those moments for later.
As a former massage therapist (not “masseuse”)… I’ve encountered dozens of men who would show up with a dirty ass. Skid marks when they get up off the table. WTF. Got expensive throwing sheets out.
8·18 days agoSome would say that was Margaret Cavendish, 150 years earlier. Mary Shelly’s novels are and have been more popular though.
Agree with all of the above, would add T. Kingfisher for fantasy, Iris Murdoch for heady philosophical fiction, Agatha Christie for murder mystery, Clarissa Pinkola Estés for empowering fables and explorations of feminine archetypes, Mary Oliver for poetry, and Lady Margaret Cavendish for a great sci-fi novel from 1666.
Bought some handmade Christmas ornaments at a locally owned gift shop and some jewelry at a locally owned thrift shop. Some for me, some for gifts. Nothing was on sale, I was just showing some visiting family what a cute little town I live in.
Oh, and we bought brunch at a locally owned brunch place. The protesters on the freeway overpass have been telling me to Boycott Big Business and Buy Local for about a week now, so I did as I was told.
Those would be ultra super lights… about 15 minutes of use.
Maybe there is one of the lucky 10,000 here who has not heard of boots theory.
It’s not going to be updated with daily events, but simple Wikipedia has background and fairly up to date info on major conflicts. Regular Wikipedia is more frequently updated, but simple will give you the basics without over complicating and is a quick read.

That is terrible, and definitely the reason it was in the side of the road. Way to fix it up and give it new life!

My abusive sibling is older than me, so that thought never really occurred to me. It just was how it was.

Had a chrome book that worked just fine but unbeknownst to me had an expiration date that started counting down at its date of manufacture, not the date of purchase.
The thing worked great, but no more security updates after 3 years.
