Dumbledore is gay but celibate. He fell in love with a guy and it blew up in his face and led to the death of his sister, after which he decided not to fall in love again. That makes me suspect Rowling is one of those people that thinks it’s okay to be gay but not okay to act on it.

I’d say morality came first and people invented religion to justify the moral frameworks they already had. Cultures invented gods and ascribed their culture’s shared moral views to their gods
