I literally offered it as-is last week, not running, for around $400. Nobody took my offer, so I got it running again myself. Price went up to $1000.

Engine sounds smooth as silk for being just a hair over 200k miles, transmission good too. Needs keys.

Yeah, this is not intended as an advertisement, more like how I got a deceased person’s truck running again. I had to fix basically all the main battery wires, and break the ignition lock.

It cranks, it runs, it needs quite a bit more work, and this isn’t exactly dull is it? 🤦‍♂️

Amongst conversation between myself, my mom, and my roommate, we’ve decided we’re probably going to keep the truck afterall. I’m not sure whether it’ll get put in my name or my roommate’s name, whichever yields cheaper insurance I guess.

Paperwork still to process, money to invest, needs a new battery, ignition, and driver’s door, but yeah we could use a truck every now and then…

That’s awesome. Hope it works out well for you because, yeah, having a truck on hand is incredibly useful. Even maintaining it (taxes, insurance, etc) is less hassle than renting a truck when you need one or having to shell out for delivery.
