It was white on white, like why? It needed contrast!

I dunno what’s up with the two black circles by the 6, I thought those were already there… 🤷

Vestigial holes for winding keys. One hole used to be the winding hole, a second was an hourly chime (that wouldnt sound if you didn’t winding it and just wound the clock mechanism) and sometimes a third for a chime every 15 mins. Wouldn’t be surprised if this one had a button on the back or inside the housing to turn on an hourly chime.

When I looked back at an old photo before I painted it, those black spots weren’t there, so perhaps the marker slipped a couple times 🤷

Oh shit, I think I know what happened, I had to thin the ink in the marker out a few times with rubbing alcohol, those must be accidental drips 🤦

Oh well, I done put the face glass back on, and a few of the screw mounts managed to crack and break in the process, so I ain’t about to take it back apart to clean it.

It is what it is, its way more visible now 👍

Right, but they put them there, because thats where people expect the holes to be! (Really though, they’re better hidden with the hole in the black ink of one of the numbers, or in the spindle thst turns the hands.

Nah, I figured it out, it was a couple accidental drips from using rubbing alcohol to thin out the ink in the marker.

Oh well, I already put the front glass back on, I ain’t about to take it back apart just to clean a couple accidental drips.

          It is what it is…
