Russia has committed genocide against Ukraine time and time again and this is their one chance of standing up to the big bully. It’s also a wake up call for the rest of Europe while they get their industry back together and stopping relying on America.
The Donbass region is pro-Russian, and Kiev has been at war with that region for a decade since the Euromaidan coup of 2014 ousted the president they supported.
