…whilst she eats it like a typewriter carriage.
48 years together.

I just finished eating another 2 cobs today, and I noticed I switched it up between the styles, sometimes during the same nibbling!

I’m doomed now that I’ll never eat a cob without thinking about typewriters and the like…

Of course, but, then I wondered, how many people know what this means? It’s not like typewriters are a common thing anymore.

EDIT: Apparently, yes. Some GenZ are “rediscovering” typewriters. In the same way they’re interested in film photography.

Okay. We’re doing a spreadsheet. Are you eating your corn by columns or by rows?

What’s a spreadsheet? You mean like the way you scroll TikTok vs. the way you swipe people on Tinder?

Spiral -like: A1, B2, C3, D4, etc … Until excel runs out and it wraps up to A2, B3, C4 and so on.

I wonder what percentage of Excel users have ever been to the end of the Excel spreadsheet? Or knows they even have an end? If you’ve never been you’re not missing much, but I won’t blame you if you get bitten by curiosity over what’s at the final frontier.
