Now the coating in my glasses is melting and everything is a blur of bright lights.

Nah, glasses coatings can be super sensitive to heat. My cheap Zenni glasses only last like 3 months because I’ll accidentally leave them in the car once.
As long as you acclimate yourself to a sauna, you’ll be fine.
