congrats, that was my first step to YouTubing everything i had to replace and being incredibly surprised that most things on a car are about as simple to replace as the battery.
and even now, a battery replacement is really satisfying for me.
Nice work. My experience is it’s a crapshoot because cars aren’t designed to be worked on these days but instead to be build quickly by machines. I’ve spent stupid amounts of time accessing water pumps. Anyway, glad the battery project turned out great.
you know what, whenever I buy a car I do research how easy it is to repair first, and it’s probably one of the largest considerations before I make a purchase, so I guess I’m angling the odds in my favor.
That’s the crucial bit though. Currently faced with having to replace rubber bushing on rear suspension; I quickly realized it’s too much for me even at my friend’s well-equipped garage.

Important questions like:
Gotta buy old or very poor specced new to get repairability features it seems.
You’re doing great! I wish I had the foresight you do.

Really? I replaced the entire suspension on my car (swapped to coil overs) and it was relatively painless save for some rusted bolts.
And I’m very much just a shade tree mechanic lol
What maker/model/year? Front or back? Both sides? What exactly do you mean by “entire suspension”?
A 93 Mazda Miata and a 2010 Subaru WRX.
And by “entire suspension” I meant front and back, and both sides haha
