It would collapse on itself, unable to carry its own weight, heating up massively. I consider superheated pudding volcanos something of a downside, personally. I cannot reasonably estimate what might happen in the centre of the world, supercritical fluid doesn’t seem enough. Perhaps nanodiamond crystallisation from the organic parts of the pudding? Also lots of hydrogen release, I’d guess.
My suggestions involves only change of the legal framework. Besides, there are non-profit companies. I’m not sure about details, but for example Velux (windows manufacturer) and Carl Zeiss (optics) are supposed to be non-profits, and Anthropic could say no to the DoD because it’s some sort of not-just-for-profit company.

Thanks, that sounds very reasonable.

What would be the downside if all companies were non-profit? At first sight, it sounds like a great idea.

Have a look at Factorio. It’s DRM free and you can easily spend hundreds or thousands of hours on it if you like it. Try the free demo first. Also keep in mind that it’s never on sale (or always, depends how you look at it). Be warned though, it’s very addictive.

Let’s not all be downers here. This actually sound like nice improvements, I might give the groups a try.

Thanks, it would never occur to me to look for it on Wikipedia.

Is it on a stable website, or does it change sometimes? And what’s the address?

Unless I’m very mistaken rejecting all cookies must not take more clicks than accepting them. Too bad nobody enforces that…

Do both. Can’t make a mistake by reaching out too much, I think.

Have you already written to your members of parliament about chat control, and possibly other matters? Seriously, do it. There is very little you can do, but this might actually help. Slightly. Maybe.

Do you know if there’s an instance with working RSS that also shows inages from the tweets in the RSS? I couldn’t find any for months.

You realize you are in a privacy comunity, right?

Signal? What? Where? Are you sure you don’t mean Brave?

Thanks. It seems to be just whatsapp web in an app form, so I could probaby just go to my browser. But that’s still an interesting idea that never ocurred to me on phone.

Is there, by any chance, an alternative client?

I also think labels are the right way to organise emails. It was pretty unique at the time, and I think it still isn’t common.
And frankly, I like gmail’s interface more than Thunderbird’s, for example.

Personally, if I bookmark something, the odds of ever getting back to it are very, very low, and so are the odds of deleting obsolete bookmarks of unread news etc. But the songs tips are great, I’ll have to look into it, thank you!
And 30 tabs is very tame.
Their freedom to do something without any significant benefit costs a lot of money for healthcare. Money I pay as taxes.
