You remove them and they’re gone…
Thanks! Added their repo and reinstalled. Secure again. 😎
Yep, was afraid of that. Sadly, not a solution for me then.
Thanks nevertheless! 🍻
I checked out Tailscale, and my 👀 popped when I realized what it does! 😄
I proceeded to install it on my phone, only to realize a moment later that my connection was down. I headed over to my Rethink DNS firewall and saw that Tailscale had taken over my VPN connection, causing Rethink to shut everything down (as it’s supposed to).
Now, unfortunately, I’m probably gonna find out that Tailscale needs highly sought out for VPN slot on Android, and that I can’t use it because I’d have to drop my firewall? 🙈
Love that - I throw a bomb, wally away, and sometimes they kill each other disproving/approving me. 😄
That’s not a solution since smartness is already in monitors as well.
What do you use now? Any recommendations?
Agreed. These weren’t meant to be pros or cons, but facts that I dug up in a quick search. Let everyone interpret for themselves. 😉
I’ve no idea how I overlooked Mojeek. I’m always on the lookout for privacy oriented alternatives. Seems they exist since 2004 and don’t have any controversies surrounding them.
I mean in terms of a hacking accomplishment, it’s like you beat up a disabled person. 😐
But why?
Yep, can’t remember exactly, but 20 something years sounds about right.
Librewolf will do for now. I’m aware that any solution for now is a temporary one. Let’s see where we end up.
After investigation, it turned out that it only has ethernet adapter (that’s not in use), but no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Also, as a sidenote, if Max Power Saving is on, ethernet adapter is disabled.
We’re talking about this monitor, bought 2 years ago: Samsung S34A650UXU - S65UA Series - LED monitor - curved - 34", LS34A650UXUXEN
And then SimpleLogin comes, as just one example, and succeeds. Mozilla obviously messed up all their efforts, for one reason or another.
I’m paying for a VPN on a monthly basis, as well as for cloud storage - I’d pay for Firefox too. However, they didn’t come up with the idea of subscriptions, but damn ads…
Same here. I’ve tolerated enough, and now it’s enough. At the same time, I’m keeping my 👀 on Ladybird and Servo development.
This article is very revealing: Firefox: Illusion of choice
The only good thing that comes out of Firefox are forks like LibreWolf and Mull.
Does anyone know if this will hit Fennec on Android as well?
I have the same feeling that it’s gonna be like that.
