Eh, for desktop I’d say we’re just about there now. For people who don’t use their computers for much more than gaming and web browsing Bazzite works pretty great. Helped a friend who doesn’t do much more than that build a PC and install an OS and they seem to be doing fine with it, no complaints so far.

Yes, exactly. Its killing problem solving ability and learning. Taking the extra time to search around and figure things out helps you learn. Not to mention its poisoning its own well, making legitimate answers harder and harder to find on the web.
Sure but at what energy cost? Compared to a human brain it would be incredibly energy inefficient.

Google used to have something like this where you ‘paid as you went’ by outbidding other advertisers for ad slots on websites. Only worked for google ads, though, and being a google product it was killed eventually…
