1 month agoWhat’s missing in the above article is that the Marburg virus is transmitted through direct close contact with skin or mucous membranes or through contact with body fluids, not via aerosols like Covid 19. The student only had mild influenza like symptoms and no feaver yet. Thus, the other passengers have been informed, but supposedly are not in danger and don’t need to quarantine.
All the best for the poor guy and his girlfriend.
