How a brick-and-mortar store works can’t be compared to the Internet.

That’s not how the internet works.
The onus is on the users. The parents are the ones who have to figure out a way to ensure what their kid’s devices can access, or that they are educated enough not to seek it.

If it isn’t publicly traded, they can’t take over it, enshitify it, and squeeze it until it’s useless. So of course they hate it.

If they sued games like Beat Hazard for letting players use their own music in the game, that’d be like suing a media player for letting people play music with it.
So imagine how much dumber this is.

Prodigy was a series for kids that adults could watch. I like to think this is a series for teens and young adults that adults can watch.

Lemmy is arguably more Star Trek than Reddit. It only makes sense.
Wait. Is there an LCARS lemmy frontend? We could really use that.

Suppression is often countered with flooding tactics.

It would appear that the US got tired of all the jokes comparing them to the movie Idiocracy, so they decided to make themselves into Team America: World Police instead.

The more someone says nothing is changing and everything is going to be ok, the more I think something nasty is going on.

This is why I have always waited for the version that is just like the previous ones, but fixed. 3.11, 98SE, XP SP2, 7, 10…
I need to get a new computer, and it has to have windows, but I’m not getting freaking Win11. Gimme Win12.

No freaking way this was because of “feedback”. This was because the European Commission will keep escalating their fines if Google keeps at it with the monopoly bullshit.

I want to know who is behind these changes being proposed. This smells of corruption.

Isn’t there a version of win11 like Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC?
Gotta get that. All stripped, just the OS and security.

There are only 3 developers I will preorder from whenever I find the game they are releasing interesting. Erin “Concerned Ape” (Stardew Valley); Bob the Bot (Survivalist); and Terry Cavanagh, the creator of VVVVVV.
They keep their games updated, they are pretty chill people, and they keep players informed during development.
For now, they are the only ones who have earned my trust.
For everything else, it’s full patientgamer mode for me. Wait until the whole game is released with a single price tag, 90% discount, no online requirements outside of multiplayer, and community fixes.

Infinite growth is impossible, so they switched to squeezing something until it breaks, then identifying the next thing to squeeze. Eventually, they run out of things to squeeze, and switch to squeezing the people directly.

Corporations can’t stand it a logarithmic graph. They need freaking geometric progressions, and then they do stuff that gets them an anti-logarithmic graph.

And it’s not something new or anything like that. There are lots of cultures through history in which people choose their own names or alternate names throughout their life for a variety of reasons.

The only reason I even knew about him was because of people mocking him and denouncing his grifting and reprehensible ideology through memes.

I am yet to see any sign that the upper echelos of the Democratic party aren’t in on it.
Unfortunately, without a grassroots movement that has a way to guarantee that people will commit and vote for a third single-issue party that will actually change things without going into ideological divisions, and just fix the money in politics and electoral system and stuff like that, then declare elections again right away, things will not change.
We all know the reason. That mod couldn’t resist the autoerotic arousal of the ultimate unjustified ban. They live for those.
