11·13 days agoIt’s funny to me all the times that I’ve been considered not manly enough, whether it’s wearing my hot pink vans or a pink shirt or tie, allowing my gf or now my daughters to paint my nails, and tons of other examples I’ve been called gay for too. It made me think, what really makes a man. And going by their own definition, isn’t it one sign of a man to not be swayed by the opinion of someone who seeks only to denigrate? So why would I care about their opinion?

Yeah understandable, and I agree. They might have been in the process of getting a contract with a gov or similar large client that had a nationality requirement as part of the requirements too. I’m not trying to defend them though, just probing at other potential reasons for their move that may not be entirely visible from what they seem on the surface.
I don’t think they assume everyone is a spy. I think it’s that they aren’t confident in their ability to weed them out. Still seems extreme but really depends on the confidentiality of their work.
3·1 month agoLol stardew vally in doom clothing killed me. Quite the write up but all I can really say is an unhelpful “everyone likes different stuff”. i like twitch and boomer shooters. I had to wait ages for them to come around again. I had to wade through slow shooters like halo, milshooters, milsims, coverbased shooters, and other stuff that I genuinely don’t enjoy as much until the type I liked most started to resurface with Doom 2016 and the now regrettably named “boomer shooters”. Fast, arcadey, dark themed, with health and ammo drops. I’m not big on some of them but overall I’m in an oasis compared to the drought I endured.
My best advice is patience for it to come around again or to make it yourself if you don’t want to wait.
Sure thing, if I were in front of my pc I’d have given you more precise instructions but yeah I was elated when I found that setting as I don’t enjoy livestreams even if it’s not a spoiler.

Please don’t misunderstand me. I’m absolutely all for bothering people because it’s needed for change. But there are more and less effective ways to do that. Trashing art thatcis unrelated really seems less effective. Effective to a point, but less effective overall. You mentioned there have been protests at the appropriate places, and I admit I only know a handful. Do you have examples where people have damaged say, a corrupt politicians car? Or perhaps blocked the street where a lobbyist lives? Or maybe thrown red paint or buckets of organ meat and offal on the steps of the supreme court and picketed about the damages they’ve caused to womens rights?
If they have been doing outlandish things to the politicians and places of government, then I’m sorry. I haven’t noticed and I will agree it’s come time to demonstrate elsewhere. I will add that if that’s truly the case, I wish they’d say so when doing these stunts.
It’s not a productive discourse though. They draw the ire of everyone doing something so senseless, and that in turn causes damage to the progress of their cause because people don’t want to support them.
An anecdotal example is that I agree with some of their sentiments but I will never support them because they do stupid ineffectual nonsense like this. Take your protests to the places that control these issues. Not a fucking art gallery.

This is just an opinion, so take it with that in mind. I think the reason they said “jew hunt” and other similarly gross language is because a group of Israelis were behaving in a greatly offensive manner. And because these people were offended by these Israelis, they used language offensive to israelis in return.
It’s not uncommon for hurt people to lash out and act in an offensive manner. I don’t think that makes it anti semetic though. Or at least it’s different from purposeful antisemitism which hates based on them being jews. This is anger based on them being insufferable cunts. And I really think that’s an important distinction. You can’t say that Isaraelis can never be hated. You can’t say that about any group. No one is permanently exempt from being hated based in their actions. Some groups earn their hate and these ones certainly earned what they got. Whether they deserved what they earned is debatable though.
