I mentioned Linux.

Exactly. There is a community set up, but posts are daily at best with only a few comments.

Outside of Communism, Linux, and Star Trek, there isn’t that much.
Most people aren’t here because of what this place is, but what other places aren’t.

No IQ test is going to measure that high. A lot of the tests, while not perfect, are designed to target within 2-3 statistical deviations around the average intelligence, with a typical standard deviation of 15 points. So, if anyone tests above 145 or under 55, the test is going to be inaccurate. At that point, you’re only dealing with 0.1% of the population and the number is just a pissing match.
That said, just because someone has a high IQ score doesn’t mean they’re great at everything else. Autism seems to run higher in this group than average, but it is likely because some parts of the spectrum of autism helps with taking these sorts of tests. Very smart people can still make mistakes, be ignorant of certain subjects, and have personality flaws like average people.
For instance, medical doctors are generally considered very intelligent, but they are very bad with money.

The problem with MENSA is that you’re dealing with intelligent people who have no better claim to intelligence than being in MENSA.

Yeah, but while China wants to state that their a global leader, a lot of their foreign policy is based on selling internationally the industrial output they overbuilt.

Yeah, but you have other nations claiming to have the rights for some international leadership who aren’t doing anything either. Why aren’t China or the EU stepping in to help?
It is horrible that the USA isn’t helping, but a lot of other nations also aren’t helping.

We’re also in the very early years of deployment. A lot of issues are going to pop up when/if the user base expands.

Since we have audited overhead rates, about 40%-45% of company revenue goes into direct salaries for my group. When possible, the company will lower that to 33% by charging more.

Brotato?

The problem for Trump right now is that he doesn’t have anything that he can point to as a win and Trump can’t walk away without it being seen as a loss.
At least it buys time for Cuba.
I loved the season opener. It was hilarious having actual lawyers judge how bad it was and Mommy Standards and Practices was well done.
The problem is that there isn’t a Dropout community and the equivalent Nebula community is rather dead.

If my life has no meaning, then I can do with it whatever I want.

A lot of other responses are good here, but something important to keep in mind is that not all jobs are going to be taken over by AI. A lot of the jobs currently targeted by AI are white collar jobs. So, what will likely happen is that there will be a widening gulf between the few white collar jobs remaining plus skilled trades and the “unskilled” labor plus good economy.
Typically, high income inequality leads to increased crime. Luckily, there will be a bunch of unemployed people who will need jobs going from “observe and report” style guarding to armed mercenaries who will shoot to kill for the paycheck.

We’re at a point where people can visit Antarctica for the price of a used car and it is likely that price will drop in the future as development outside of science starts occurring. Antarctica is a cold desolate continent where you’re either inside or wearing specialty survival gear.

If someone is telling me that I need a filter and they’ve seen me interact with others, I’d probably listen as to why.

I’ve run some very small ones. A large one would feel like running a sewage treatment plant.
What made it terrible for you?
