There’s custom images for it that you flash onto the sd card you put into the pi. My experience with it wasn’t very good though to be honest.

Android@lemdro.id•Samsung Begins Official Rollout of One UI 8 to Galaxy DevicesEnglish
41·4 months agoI use Samsung phones for work, it’s really just some UI changes, and they’re genuinely much worse than just stock android. Samsung is just trying to differentiate itself.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If americans come to germany and act like german public Transport is the best, how frickin bad is american public Transport?
24·7 months agoI live in an area know for having some of the better public transport in the states. My drive to work is about 25 minutes. I can bus to work, but it takes almost three hours and three separate busses, and then I cannot bus home after work.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Firefighters and Police are socialism. Change my mind.
4·7 months agoI mean… They aren’t? Maybe do some cursory research yourself instead of making bad faith Lemmy posts?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a really popular game franchise you just can't get into?
2·7 months agoSouls games autosave constantly, you can quit out at any time and reload to where you were. The only exception being that if you quit out during a boss fight you’ll have to restart.
People’s value doesn’t lie in their ability to perform labor. Being “useful” isn’t important. What should be done, is that everyone should have their needs met so they can do with their lives what they want. There’s a lot of theoretical ways to try and do that, but none of them are of interest in a capitalist society.
It doesn’t have to be people per se, find what brings you those sparks of joy in your life and don’t let them go.
“The horrors persist, yet so do I”. The world sucks, but I have things I care about, people I love, some wonderful cats. And I’m not gonna let a fucked up world take that away from me without a fight
eBay. Better not to buy tech new.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is your opinion on ray/path tracing and real time upscaling (DLSS/FSR/XeSS) in video games?
6·7 months agoI think it’s incredibly overrated. Modern games already look incredible without it, so I really don’t think it’s worth the cut in performance.
Nice try FBI
I have time to play videogames, and it’s my primary hobby - but I also don’t date nor have any interest in having kids. I imagine it’s a lot harder for people with romantic lives or kids.

63·7 months agoIt’s sad that so many people are willing to buy new devices with lithium ion batteries in them when much of the cobalt used in the production of them is mined via slave labor in Congo. I’m sorry but open world Mario kart and higher fps in your games isn’t worth slavery.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are the modern design trends you hate most?
5·7 months agoSure, but it makes it impossible for anyone that doesn’t have a smartphone with Bluetooth to use them, and makes me have another account I don’t want, among other issues. If the apartment’s WiFi has issues, the machines lose connection and you can’t use them, It’s a vastly worse experience then using quarters or even just a card reader.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are the modern design trends you hate most?
21·8 months agoWhy does every apartment I ever live in now never have laundry in unit, and requires you use a mobile app w/ an account to pay to do laundry. Why do I need to load a digital wallet that requires I pay a fee if I only want to add just the amount for one load? It’s absurd. Let me put quarters in.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Finally making the move to Linux, and I have questions before I get started.
4·8 months agoI’ve played a lot of Battle net games by installing battle net in lutris, then installing the game I want to play there. There’s a lot of scripts you can find for installing particular games. I can’t speak for whether HOTS works, but I played many many hours of WoW and Overwatch (before 2) that way. It’s annoying using a launcher to run a launcher to play your game, but it works.

Technology@lemmy.world•Amazon is reportedly training humanoid robots to deliver packagesEnglish
1·8 months agoHappens, I’d bet money it was a multi-location stop and they were intending to deliver that neighbor’s package and accidentally grabbed yours. It’s easy to make a mistake here and there when you’re delivering to thousands of houses in a given week.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Which country do you live in and how much paid time off work do you get?
2·8 months agoUSA. I accumulate an hour of PTO for every 40 hours I work, up to a maximum of 40 hours a year. I have to use it pretty sparingly.

I get your overall point, but I do think that the issue isn’t laziness, the issue is the use of AI. I think it’s a problem when AI is used whether the result looks good or not, because of the nature of how those AI models are trained, the environmental impact of their data centers, among other issues. For example, the current ram shortage is a direct result of these data centers. Overall, we’re also talking about people’s jobs. And as much as I’m offer degrowth and reducing the amount of work that people do, I also think it’s important that artists who are typically always underpaid anyways, are able to keep their paying jobs. I’ve seen so many programming positions reduced to minimum wage AI prompt writer positions, and that same shit is happening to real artists that have rent to pay and kids to raise… We already have tools to make these jobs more efficient, but the last thing video games really need is more cost cutting measures.
