  • I googled pretty much the same thing a few years ago. And that’s where I found my now favorite pasta sauce:

    • Cube half an onion
    • put some oil in a small pot
    • fry the onion until it’s translucent
    • add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
    • add half a cup of cream
    • mix well
    • heat to boiling, then let it simmer until you are ready
    • in the meantime (or now) heat a huge pot of salt water. It should be about as salty as the Mediterranean sea.
    • cook 150 g of white- or 80g of whole grain pasta according to the instructions on the packaging
    • add the cooked pasta to your pasta sauce
    • add salt and pepper to taste

In general, most dishes that are focused around carbs are pretty cheap.

  • They aren’t going to manufacture there. Chip manufacturing happens almost exclusively in Taiwan. That new building is just an office to design those chips.

A lot of maths goes into designing computer chips. You need an army of highly trained mathematicians and engineers for that.

And Israel is a really rich country that gets a lot of gifts and “investments” from people who want to show they aren’t antisemitic. They invest a lot of that money into the education of their citizens.

Israel’s universities are some of the best in the world. While US universities are on a steep downhill.

  • If you wait too long, it might become biologically impossible. Biologically, the best age for kids is between 20 and 35. After that, there is a sharp decline.

And there is never 100% readiness, nor 100% certainty that you want it. Especially not while you are that young.

A sad number of folks I know are in their 40s, and struggling to convince. They wanted to be 100% ready, then build a large family. And now it’s too late.

So if you are in a position where you can have kids, and think you want kids, you should probably go for it. Even if you aren’t 100% ready yet.
