1·25 days agoWe already have France, UK, and control most of the USA’s defence against nukes via NORAD.
Supposedly this is the first time it has been done im a century. It draws on learnings from Vietnam and Afghanistan.

Local libraries rock.
The US have always been the bad guys. Even independence was about being able to do more genocide and land stealing without the British getting in the way.
Canada also has a brutal history of both slavery and genocide.
Accepting that is the first step to overcoming systemic racism and building communities that we can all thrive in.
0·2 years agoI’m surprised by this decision, since Ubuntu’s strength is stability and by extension, friendliness to new users. Imo, a better move would be to ship a separate “unstable” release with non-LTS kernels.

38.33% of Californians voted for Trump last election. In our most right-wing province of Alberta, 21% of people hold positive views of Trump. Adding a blue state to Canada would bring in millions of far-right voters and move our country significantly right.
