Most people complain that many accounts / not knowing where they should create them is the main obstacle to adoption. Creating even more seems worse

I am in the camp that there is a benefit to the managed store. Since moving family members to iOS devices the number of times they have loaded malware or asked me for help installing ANYTHING dropped to zero.
Should techies be able to side load if they want? Sure, should that be a primary install method? No.
Epic isn’t wrong about Apples payment requirements being BS, but Epic also isn’t exactly a hero here.
Will be interesting to see how this pissing match plays out over time.
Should you be able to use other payment providers outside of apple pay YES!
Should you be able to install other APP stores on an iPhone? Not sure.
I like the story’s coming out where the AI puts the API keys for expensive pay per use services in plane text or creates ultra inefficient code that makes unnecessary calls.
They used to be more lax, the current rules are more strict because it IS a problem and there are studies showing it to be. Hence the lower BAC limits.
There is a big difference between a good person that will not intentionally do you harm and is happy to help vs one that would enter risk to save you in life or death.
I know lots of people I am confident would do me no harm and treat me well. I know a few that do not care / can’t be trusted.
As for my life that is fairly limited to select family and a few friends.
I don’t even need to do the math, you would have two liquids, one you are boiling for steam and one you are using for fuel… Replace that ALL with fuel…
But ublock origin lite is by the same dev… Not as many features but it conforms to the new rules and is still much better than not having a blocker if you use chrome or edge.
Trump was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records and then received an unconditional discharge of his sentence.
Trump would just pardon him… Nothing you can do now.
I was asked this at a café less than ten minutes ago now.
I guess this would be country/state dependent.
Have you heard of the Information superhighway?
“Will that be smoking or non smoking?” Asked as a restaurant
“I think you flooded it” in relation to a car not starting. (well unless you work on very old cars)
“I got it off Napster”
“want to listen to my mix tape?”
“I can burn you a CD of that”
It won’t be green because of the cold… If it doesn’t doesn’t snow it is a brown / yellow Christmas.
Also you can’t use your cross country skis, sleds, snowmobiles etc if there isn’t any snow. No one wants to go out in the cold MUD.
I cant make out the model number in your photo…
https://everymac.com/systems/apple/iphone/iphone-faq/differences-between-iphone-3g-iphone-3gs.html
Although external identification requires sharp eyes to spot it down at the bottom of the back of the phone, the iPhone 3G is model number A1241 and the iPhone 3GS is A1303. The China-only iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS models that do not have Wi-Fi are model number A1324 and A1325, respectively.
FYI I owned both, the 3GS was just leaps faster than the 3… At this point however I would be surprised if there would run without a full battery swap due to age.
Yep, it can also be the answer to getting insane performance gains for extremely specific functions / calculations.
The reality of life is the higher level languages let you get more done with fewer errors but with less potential performance… You can only optimize python so much. Some newer languages like Rust try to balance the two but often make things more complex.
Many programmers that work in Low level languages like Assembly or C regard high level languages as easy or slow and thus tended to dis them.
John Carmack (Doom, Quake engine, considered an amazing programmer) Best Programming Language has a wider appreciation of IDEs and Languages.
No I expect everyone not to be lazy fucks and do some basic research on one liner facts
The original question I see as a useful conversation where a simple search would probably not give as valuable resultes.
Where simple facts like “how long does a crt tube old a charge” is a Google thing.
why don’t you google that?
Current generation wifi 6E and 7 add 6Ghz which offers substantially more bandwidth / speed.
Wifi 7 also allows devices to use 2.4/5/6Ghz at the same time instead of just hard switching between them.
Would be a major setback since 6Ghz allows devices to easily hit Gigabit speeds wirelessly.
