Entities with the money for a long range mic have always been able to listen into things from afar.
On a somewhat different note I remember reading back in the day that dot matrix printers output could be deciphered by just the vibrations.

Am I misunderstanding something? So, making a custom vibration on the outside of the head set wouldn’t interfere with the spy device at the right frequency?
It’s an external EM signal, not a vibration. They’re interfering with the signal in a way that lets them separate the signal irself from ambient RF noise.
