Donald Trump threatens to attack Iran “hard” tonight, hours after saying he thinks the US-Iran ceasefire is “over”. Trump earlier said of the Iranian leadership: “I don’t want to deal with them anymore, they’re scum. They’re sick people, they’re led by sick people”.
Stupidest. War. Ever.
And, that’s saying a lot.
The US has engaged in all sorts of pointless conflicts in the past.
This one is just so remarkably stupid. They can’t even pretend that it’s for any other reason than Trump’s ego.
Especially with the amount of back and forth between war and no war.
All it would do is put the credibility of the US in the urinal. Why would anyone believe a future administration trying to mediate a truce when their own history shows that they will vacillate back and forth constantly?
Yea, I was wondering right now, is there anyone in the US who has an internal narrative in their mind around the Iran war that makes it appear somewhat sensible?
Among his fans absolutely. They’re going to eat up whatever he says about weapons of mass destruction or literally anything else.
For the rest of us we certainly recognize that this is beyond pointless.
