8 billion of tracked oil removed from the country and we can’t even confirm if they got the 500 million funneled through Qatar as repayment.

No real help for the earthquake that struck Venezuela.

Maduro still missing with not even a sham court trial.

The mafia now run the world again and it looks like American Politics.

Venezuelans would never get statehood in the first place. The country will never accept venezuelans as equals, that is just the truth, nothing good would come from becoming a territory or vassal of the US.

I’m sorry. I can’t imagine how awful and annoying this experience must be.

Point all those bootlickers who are excited about statehood towards Puerto Rico. Puerto Ricans have been consistently screwed over.

The simple truth (that I’m sure you’re already aware of, but others aren’t) is that the Republican party doesn’t want a change that will make it harder for them to win Congress (also, many of them have nothing but contempt for latinos). And the Democrat party is too timid and disorganized to push through statehood for the likes of Puerto Rico.

It’s not helped by the fact that there are many ignorant yokels in deep red states who share that same xenophobic view, and their vote has disproportionate power.

I know two Venezuelans. Both of them left because of the Chavez/Maduro government‘s mismanagement of the economy and oppression of the opposition. Neither of them is well off or well connected, so they left the country to make a living.

When Trump started his intervention, both of them said „Trump can take the oil, I don’t care, as long the government finally changes“.

Becoming a US territory like Puerto Rico would improve the lives of most Venezuelans pretty noticeably.
