Remember that republican could stop him at any time. This isn’t about Trump anymore - he isn’t running for re-election so disapproval has no direct effect. The only way we have in our legal framework to stop an insane authoritarian in the white house is for Congress to stop him. Their abdication of duty need to be laid at the feet of every R in office
I completely agree except for the disapproval rating. I haven’t done the math but I’d suspect that a sitting president’s disapproval rating affect tickets down the ballot. Although that may just be wishful thinking.
