And I suppose I’ll continue my plan of staying the hell away until this administration is long gone

This feels pretty hard to enforce, are they gonna let people self select what they provide or are they perhaps going to give a list of services to give accounts for? The latter would have me looking either like a ghost that disappeared about 7 years ago (for most public social media) or one that disappeared about 3 years ago (if Reddit is included)

What happens to people who don’t use social media at all? Are they going to be treated with suspicion?

until this administration is long gone

Based on past performance, the next Democrat administration will repeal maybe 50% of these changes at most.

they almost never fully repeal any invasive piracy legislation when they get into power, which is why they are called republican lite.

We’re probably going to find out eventually. For instance, I have never once in my life had any manner of account for any traditional social media. Just reddit (not anymore) and here. That’s it.

So good luck with that, fuckers.

I’ve only used Reddit (also not anymore) and here. None of the more traditional social media such as Facebook, Xitter, TikTok, and whatever else people are using these days.

Oh, I do have a LinkedIn. I only update it when I change jobs.
