It drains very well now.

Using as a snake tool worked way better than trying to hook the mess with a screwdriver and pliers.

God bless plumbers. Really tho. I’ve had to bust out the ol’ drain snake before and it’s one of the most disgusting tasks in a home. I’m almost more comfortable with plunging a shit laden toilet than pulling out the diabolical monstrosities one can find in a shower drain. But that satisfying sound of water actually going through the pipe is a sure sign that your days of showering in ankledeep water are behind and you hits a special part of the rewards center of the brain.

This one wasn’t so bad actually — almost satisfying.

We gave our cat a bath a few weeks ago (she got carsick in her crate on the way home from the vet — the bath was justified), so it was mostly matted up cat hair causing the blockage.

It looked horrendous but didn’t have any smell which sets me off way more.
