We all love open-source software, but there are so many amazing projects out there that often go unnoticed. Let’s change that! Share your favorite open-source software that you think more people should know about. Here’s how you can contribute:

  1. Single Option Per Comment: Mention one open-source software per comment to be able to easily find the most popular software.
  2. No Duplicates: Avoid duplicating software that has already been mentioned to ensure a wide variety of options.
  3. Upvote What You Love: If you see a software that you also appreciate, upvote it to help others discover it more easily.

Let’s create a comprehensive list of open-source software that everyone should know about!

Grocy (self-hosted) helped us keep our baby fed with a varied diet during its first year. Sometimes it’s just hard to look into the fridge and see what’s missing. It’s easier to set demands in the app and record everything that comes in and goes out, and sometimes do an inventory check to catch everything we missed to scan.

RiMusic is great for listening to… well, music. It has a bunch of nice features, allows you to download music, and even copy your local db of what you’ve listened to to a file which is great for backing up. I thought it got abandoned by its maintainer a while ago, but it seems like it’s still an active project.
