I dislike orange soda despite liking lots of other orange flavored things (there’s some background flavor that gets more apparent as i go through a can, making me sick to my stomach) and the other day we got some by accident so I tried it to see if i still disliked it (yep).
To not waste the can, I added some grenadine and whiskey, and the combo overpowered what i disliked about the soda. Good times.
Whiskey with grenadine (cherry) and orange? That’s a varient on the classic Old Fashioned.
Yeah I figured it would taste close enough to the classics that I’d like it

I got my sour cherry at a middle eastern grocery. They had a cool selection.
Not sure what to do with all of these and where they might fit into drink recipes, but it seems like a great opportunity to try something novel.
Have you tried beer and Tang? (Not an April Fool’s Day bit, it’s actually pretty good).
Was a joke on Married…with Children where they called it a Bundy Mimosa. I had to try it, and it was surprisingly good.
