  • Yes, yes, please don’t misunderstand: a certain amount of trolling seems perfectly appropriate to me. I even believe that there are people who can hardly be dealt with in any other way. But I’m talking about trolling on this platform, where, in my opinion, there are relatively few absurd opinions that cannot be countered with arguments. Of course, there are also views here that run counter to rational thinking, but after more than two years here, it seems to me that most users, despite perhaps destructive views, are still somewhat reasonably willing to accept arguments (if not, in my opinion, it’s best to simply ignore them).

I mean, fortunately, we’re still quite a long way from reddit or even X or Truth Social here. So it seems to me that there is at least a willingness to discuss things here, which is why I can’t really understand why anyone would want to undermine that. I’m not referring to you at all, of course, and I very much appreciate your answer - I completely agree.

I’m just trying to understand why even here there are apparently people who are bent on pointless confrontation. I just don’t get that.

  • I think it will be a self-referential medium in which machines bombard each other with propaganda messages. Creativity and innovation will become increasingly rare, as people will hardly produce any content anymore because they can neither make a living from it nor gain recognition for their contribution. Hate speech and misinformation will be omnipresent.

In short, I expect the internet as a whole to develop similarly to Reddit or Twitter: away from free discussion and the exchange of information, toward a hellhole full of hate, disinformation and slop.

  • The US’s abduction of Venezuela’s head of state, in violation of international law, is tantamount to an invasion. The murder of civilians off the coast of Venezuela before that and the attack in Nigeria on Christmas Day were also unscrupulous violations of international law.

The US regime has thus made it clear that international law is no longer relevant and that only the law of the strongest now counts. It was foreseeable that the US would act in this way with this regime, even though it is inhumane and nothing but destructive. Therefore, there is actually nothing left that could prevent the Chinese from invading Taiwan. The US mafia regime has already illustrated several times that such a flagrant violation of international law has no consequences for powerful countries.

So, since we are already very much in this situation, I don’t quite understand what you are getting at: The US is already invading sovereign countries and it is obvious that the orange child molester and his Nazi crew will not shy away from even the most heinous crimes. So…

  • Yes, that’s true. But in a dictatorship, things look very different, as evidenced by the fact that there are no protests in Russia. If you think that’s because all Russians agree with Putin, you’re wrong.

What I’m saying is that things will only get worse in the US as time passes and the fascists tighten their grip. And that’s what I mean by apathy: not the people who are already doing something, but the millions who, despite the regime’s inhumane actions, pretend that they can just bury their heads in the sand.

Don’t you agree that the regime could be overthrown if the decent people in the US, who in my opinion are still very likely to be the majority despite MAGA, were to join forces?
